Breast
Also known as mastopexy, a breast lift raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. A breast lift will raise and firm sagging, flat breasts. Some patients also may require breast implants to improve the shape and size. Incisions are placed around the nipple, from the nipple to the crease under the breast, and horizontally along the breast crease.
Sometimes the areola becomes enlarged over time, and a breast lift will reduce this as well. A breast lift can rejuvenate your figure with a breast profile that is youthful and uplifted. Breast lift surgery does not significantly change the size of your breasts or round out the upper part of your breast.
If you want your breasts to look fuller or smaller, you might want to consider either breast augmentation or breast reduction surgery. A breastlift can be performed with or without an implant depending upon your individual needs. It is important to review this option thouroughly with your surgeon as there are considerations unique to this procedure.
