Candela Laser
Modern medicine is seeing more and more methods of improving treatment and decreasing the side effects of medical procedures. One of the newest innovations is the Candela Laser. While laser surgery has been used in ever-increasing numbers in recent years since its inception in 1987, the Candela Corporation has taken the technology to new heights. The uses of Candela lasers are primarily for aesthetic surgery, including acne treatments and removal of acne scars, tattoo removal, removal of warts and hair, tightening skin, and reducing the instance of spider veins. While laser treatments in the past had some risks, most of the uses for Candela lasers incorporate a new technology that, so far, appears to effectively eliminate those risks and lessen the pain often found in laser treatments of the past. However, temporary hyper pigmentation, or a darkening of the skin, may last for 6 months or so after treatment.
